Sara is a Sydney based actor, director and writer and a graduate of the Flinders Drama Centre, South Australia. Sara began writing and directing short films as a student and continues to balance a busy acting career with her writing work and projects in development.
Films she has both written and directed include Dirt Girls (2014 – feature) and River Water (2013 – short) for which she received Best Emerging Filmmaker Award at the SASAs. Sara has also written short films Teenage Filth (2012) and Split Me (2016) and two plays for ATYP; The Voices Project / Out of Place (Currency Press) and The Trolleys (Playlab) which she wrote on winning the 2014 ATYP Foundation Commission.
In 2017 Sara directed two new shorts which she also wrote; Mutt and Disco Dykes for SBS and Create NSW.
