Internationally regarded, Mat King has directed celebrated and award winning television series. His career was established in the UK on British series including Doctor Who, DCI Banks, and several seasons of Law & Order: UK.
Since returning to Australia Mat has directed many acclaimed television series including Pine Gap from Netflix, the acclaimed Foxtel series Wentworth, as well as the award winning Bloom for Stan.
Mat has directed several seasons of the romantic comedy The Wrong Girl, episodes of Underbelly: Razor, House Husbands, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, the US series Hunters along with My Life is Murder starring Lucy Lawless and How to Stay Married.
As founder and executive producer of The Fiction Bureau, Mat is developing series with authorial voices new to television and film which he will produce with major international production companies.
