A graduate of Swinburne Film School, Martin worked in a number of crew roles, primarily as an assistant director in series and serial television before moving into writing. He has written for a broad range of series Television; Corelli and Raw FM (ABC), Stingers (Nine), All Saints and Packed to the Rafters (Seven). He has also worked extensively as a script editor for the ABC (The Bite), for Seven (All Saints), Fremantle Media (Neighbours) and Matchbox (The Straits). Martin has also been commissioned to research and develop new series concepts for Fremantle, the ABC and Seven.
Martin wrote and directed his first feature film Is This The Real World which earned him an AWGIE nomination for Best Original Screenplay. The film screened at Festivals including San Fransisco, New York City Independent, Manchester and St Tropez and was released in Australia in May 2016. It enjoyed Top 30 listing on its itunes release.
Martin is currently working on three feature film scripts.
